ExxonMobil Middle Eastern Scholars Program

Application Deadline: November 15, 2008

The ExxonMobil Middle Eastern Scholars Program is a highly competitive scholarship program which provides select student leaders from the Middle East and North Africa with a fully-funded scholarship towards the completion of a degree at a college or university in the United States.

While the inaugural year of the ExxonMobil Middle Eastern Scholars Program offers scholarship opportunities to pursue a master's degree in geoscience for students who have at least a bachelor's degree in chemistry, engineering, geography, geoscience, mathematics or physics, future expansion to other fields of study is currently under consideration.

Recipients of the Middle Eastern Scholars Program receive:

  • Full graduate tuition to attend a U.S. university
  • Visa and academic support
  • Housing and living expenses while in the U.S.
  • Transportation to the U.S. at the beginning of the program and return to home country at the completion of the program
  • Pre-academic training
  • Medical insurance while in the U.S.

Citiassist Alternative Loan for International Students
As you consider the loan amount you may need to borrow, keep in mind that alternative loans are still educational loans, even though they are available through a private lender. Educational loans are specifically to be used for educational expenses. The purchase of or payment on a car, for instance, is not considered an educational expense. This private educational loan program is available to international students with a co-signer who is a U.S. resident or citizen. Please review the following information for additional loan requirements.

  • Is available to international student borrowers with co-signer who is a U.S.-citizen or U.S. resident.
  • Proof of immigration status for the student borrower and citizenship/residency for the co-signer is required.
  • Is available to both undergraduate and graduate level students.
  • Does not require enrollment in a degree program.
  • Does not have a minimum enrollment requirement.
