Welcome to Global Connections website!!
Global Connections is a community non-profit organization, affiliated with the Pennsylvania State University and the Centre County United Way, with a 50-year tradition of fostering intercultural community and understanding in Centre County.
Global Connections offers:
- Opportunities for U.S. residents and visiting internationals to practice conversational English and build cultural understanding through our Conversation Partners Program, International Friendship Program and Women's Intercultural Book Groups.
- English as a Second Language classes for internationals on campus and in the community
- An International Speakers Program that brings presenters to schools and civic organizations to share about their countries and cultures.
- Assistance in filling out tax forms for international PSU students and scholars.
- Events that build cultural understanding, such as our monthly international lunches, summer concerts and arts events, forums on world issues and an annual children's festival.
