Learn more about
internationalization at Penn State with
the International Mosaic, a
publication of the International
Programs office. International Programs
promotes all things international on
campus, is home to both Education Abroad
and International Student Services,
assists faculty, staff and students in
their international endeavors, serves as
a clearing house of information on
international initiatives, and
celebrates the spirit of cross-cultural
higher education. The International
Mosaic keeps alumni, faculty, staff
and students up to date on the latest
international happenings and explores
the stories behind the headlines. We
welcome your feedback: please contact us
at

for articles, and submissions.

Students Learn Agribusiness in Denmark:
Penn State is fostering new educational
models to teach students to function in
the global economy. One example is an
exchange with the Copenhagen School of
Business.
Travel Grants Help Faculty to Include
International Perspectives in the
Classroom: New travel grants promise
to facilitate short-term travel for
students, and support international
connections and course development for
faculty. Three success stories made
possible by the funding.
Global Competence = Great Job: Alum
Maggie Sapovchak credits her education
abroad field placement in Japan with
landing her a great job after
graduation.
A Lasting Bond: When Irene Lott
traveled to Salamanca to study abroad,
she had no idea the experience would
have a long-lasting effect on her life.
Because of the continuing impact of the
connection, Irene recently decided to
endow a study abroad scholarship.
In Support of Internationalization:
Internationalization at Penn State is
greatly enhanced by contributions from
friends and alumni.
